Okay, so I realize it has been way too long since I have added to my blog. Since starting the preschool job and my daughter breaking her arm, I feel like I have been on a roller coaster ride more as a participant than the ride operator. This week has been no exception with hubby working lots of hours and my girls having spirit week at school. I am still sewing away but have had little time to take pictures or post them.
I have been making these cute and easy coin purses lately. I found the directions on the Sew Sally blog which I love to follow. She is a mom on the West Coast who also teaches sewing classes. They are very simple to make and I have made one for each of my girls to keep her Awana money in and one for me to keep my little stash of fun money in. I also want to make one for coupons to keep in my purse. This project is a great introduction to sewing zippers especially for my kid/teen students and they sew up really fast. I would also think that they would make cute gifts and you could also add a little gift card inside to the recipient's favorite store or restaurant.
Happy Sewing to all and I promise to post soon about another project I have been making lots of lately for gifts!
