"What are you sewing right now?"

This is a common question that I hear from students when they come for lessons. They often times see me flip through patterns and fabric while they are here and wonder what I have been working on so I thought I would share my most recent project.

I found a great free pattern on the Twiddletails Blog for the Strippy Runner and I decided to make it with some fabric I had purchased at a Mennonite store in Lancaster, PA. I finished my quilted tablerunner on Sunday and am very happy with it. I love to work on smaller, quilted projects as I get exposure to new techniques and layouts while making a project that does not take too long. The blue/green in the strips is one of my favorite colors and I have a lot of dark red in my home so the runner would be perfect on the dining room table or coffee table.

Next I want to try the Little Gems Quilt to have as a wallhanging in my daughter's room but I have not found the perfect fabric yet. I'll keep you posted!
