Buttercup Bag

I actually did quite a bit of sewing last Christmas in making presents for family and friends but was not able to show any pictures until everyone received their goodies. This is one of the projects I found that I just had to make. It is from the blog Made By Rae and is called the "Buttercup Bag". I just love purses with little pleats so I knew that I had to try it.

I purchased my fabric from Hobby Lobby and used some wooden buttons that I had on hand. It also has a magnetic snap closure and a pocket on the inside. The directions were very clearly written and so I had no trouble in making it. One of my adult students has also made it and loved it. The purse I made was given to our niece who is in college for a little date purse.

You can find the directions and pattern HERE and I would encourage you to give it a try. They are just too cute to pass up!
