Girls Pretty Peasant Dress - McCalls 6062

I purchased this pattern a while ago but recently began making my twin girl's dresses using it.  The fabric I used on the one below is from the Top Drawer line that can be found at Hancock Fabrics or sold in precut amounts at Michaels.  One thing that I did different was that I left off the apron front as one of my students also made it and said it was way too much fabric and I really did not want all the layers especially in the heat of the summer.

My daughter loves this dress and I often have to tell her not wear it to church AGAIN!  I am still working on my other daughter's dress which will be red and taupe and will post pics when it is finished.

To encourage you to give it a try, Hobby Lobby has McCall patterns on sale for 99 cents this week!  Remember to check the sizing on the envelope to make sure you are purchasing the needed size.  I made size 7 and my girls turned 8 this summer.  I had to make one of them a little smaller in the chest as one is a skinny minny and I did not have to touch the length at all so they are long.  Also look at the front of the pattern envelope to make sure that they size you need is in that particular envelope (the back lists several sizes but each envelope only has maybe 3 sizes enclosed).
