Rhine Valley Bag

Right before Christmas, I finished up another pattern testing project for Anna at Charmed Liebling.  She is a pattern designer from Rochester, NY and also teaches classes at a local shop there.  Right now she has a free tutorial for sewing a Kindle cover so head over to her blog and check her out.

The last pattern she released in 2013 was this bag...the Rhine Valley Bag:

I LOVE the size of this bag for travelling.  I took it to NY with me over the holidays and had my iPad, knitting, and books in it.  It would also make a great diaper bag in my opinion.

It has a recessed zipper in it which is super easy to sew. The pattern also has the option of using a store bought set of handles.  You can view bags with different types of handles on Anna's blog.

It has large pockets on the inside but you don't lose things in them.  They just help to divide up the space on the inside.

There are two pockets on the front of the bag with magnetic snaps.  My small knitting projects actually fit into these two large pockets.

And I just loved this fabric!  I don't remember the name of the line but I bought it from a local quilt shop here in Stallings called Quilt Patch Fabrics.  You may see this fabric in some other projects that I post since I loved it so much!

So there you have it, the Rhine Valley Bag!  If you would like to make your own, you can purchase the pattern HERE.  If you don't sew but are interested in having a bag made for you, feel free to contact me!
