Last week, I had the opportunity to make a cute gift set for a friend to give to a new baby of a coworker. You can make these items as well and I will post the links to the different projects.
First, I made a baby bib and burp cloth from flannel that I purchased at Joann Fabrics. You can find my bib tutorial HERE. This is a great TUTORIAL for a contoured burp cloth and the pattern is included as well. Both of these were made with a sewing machine.
The owl was made using my embroidery machine, which is a Babylock Ellure Plus, using the 5x7" hoop. The design is from Dolls and Daydreams and you can buy the PATTERN HERE. This is made entirely " in the hoop", stuffed with fiberfil, and then handsewn closed. The owl also has a rattle inside that I purchased from Amazon. If you are local, have an embroidery machine, and would like to learn how to make "in the hoop" items, I can set up a private lesson for you.
If you don't sew but are interested in a baby gift set, I do offer these for $30. Just email me and I will email you the available fabrics.
