Heart Pot Holder

In honor of Valentine's Day, I decided that I HAD to sew something with a heart.  I love these type of pot holder/pot pinchers so I made this heart using the tutorial over at A Spoonful of Sugar.

It is sewn a little different from previous ones that I have made but I really do like it.  Here is a picture of the other side with two hearts quilted on it.

I will definitely make more of these and they would be fun to give as hostess gifts.  One thing that you will need if you make this, is a material called "insulbrite".  You can buy it pre-packaged or by the yard at most fabric stores or online here.  It is one of the layers in the main part of the heart that prevent the heat from burning your hand.  It can also be used in lunch bags to keep your food cool.

If you would like to make one, check out the tutorial HERE. And as always, I would love to see pictures of your finished heart potholder!
