Yesterday, I took a break from working on the Zippered Tote Tutorial that I have been writing for what feels like forever and made this cute skirt from a PDF pattern that I purchased a while ago.
This is called the Chocolate Chip Skirt Pattern and is by Tie Dye Diva Patterns. I was so excited to buy it when it was released and cut it out immediately but then life happened and I didn't start to sew it for about a month.
The fabric I have had for a long time as well. It was given to me and I just didn't know what to do with it. I decided to practice with this fabric since I didn't have any money invested into it.
The pattern comes with several different variations. Lined, unlined, reversible...are all options. This skirt has a flat front with an elastic waistband in the back and I lined mine. I measured in between two sizes so I made the smaller size and it fit perfectly. I also added a couple of inches as I like my skirts to hit right at the knee.
I LOVE the front pockets and they were very easy to sew!
For my next one, I am going to make one from denim that is not lined. This would also make a cute beach skirt with the right fabric!
She also offers a pattern for girls called the Potato Chip Skirt which is the same pattern but for girls. I have that one as well and made a uniform skirt from it for my daughter.

I would love to see pictures if you decide to make one as well!
